We are seeking an experienced and motivated Joinery Workshop Manager to lead our production team and ensure the efficient delivery of exceptional joinery products.
The Role:
As Joinery Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, managing production schedules, maintaining quality standards, and leading a skilled team of joiners and machinists. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the joinery workshop.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Supervise, motivate, and develop workshop staff.
- Ensure all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and resource allocation.
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, designers, and site teams.
- Manage workshop machinery, maintenance schedules, and tooling requirements.
- Control material usage and minimise waste.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of workshop personnel.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Joinery Workshop Manager, Production Manager, or Senior Bench Joiner leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of bespoke joinery manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Experience managing production targets and deadlines.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with production management systems would be advantageous.
